A Little Snobbish, but Good Point

Things that are true:
- The Davinci Code
- Wikipedia
- The government is poisoning your water
- Jon Stewart is a news broadcaster
- George Washington cut down a cherry tree
- PBS is unbiased
- Rush Limbaugh is fair and balanced
- Milli Vanilli was a fabulous band
- Saddam Hussein is a nice fellow
- The CIA is testing drugs on certain small townships
- There are multi-generational cults out to get you

So there you have it, a declaration of truth.

PBS Axed?

West 70

I wonder if Big Bird ever gets tired of being the mask for all the liberal bias, gay sponsored shows and demogogery that goes on on PBS. During fundraisers PBS is a joy to watch; culture, music, etc abound. But as soon as the bucks are donated they seem to turn their backs on their viewers and say "If PBS doesn't do it... who will?"

Well, there are now plenty of stations who do, Discovery, Animal Planet, Disney, History Channel, A&E, Discovery Kids!, Nickelodeon and not to mention the various college and homework help channels in major markets.

So, people are supposed to be very upset when a corporation supports something bad, like child sweat shops overseas, even if some other things that the corporation does are good and wholesome. But, when it comes to PBS, all we are supposed to see is Big Bird, sweet things, "save it for the children". And then when you aren't looking all the other crap gets thrown in. But we're supposed to ignore all that GALA stuff that we support with our tax dollars, when PBS is on the chopping block, we're just supposed to see the Cookie Monster.
